Beauty is just one of the horses that needs your help
We love having a large heard of horses at the refuge but the work is unsustainable during the winter months. We need to find new foster homes or volunteers and sponsors for several of our larger horses before winter
Our priority is the safety and wellbeing of all the Epona horses
Foster families must be active members and live within easy reach of the refuge
Nous apprécions la présence d'un grand troupeau de chevaux au refuge, mais le travail n'est pas viable pendant les mois d'hiver. Nous devons trouver de nouvelles familles d'accueil, des bénévoles et des parrains pour plusieurs de nos grands chevaux avant l'hiver.
Notre priorité est la sécurité et le bien-être de tous les chevaux d'Épona.

Our Beautiful Beauty
The weather has been disastrous this year; all the horses are living in as the fields are so wet, We have 11 horses and ponies over 25 years old. and 4 younger but disabled animals. Volunteers have dried up, I can't blame them for not wanting to face the constant rain but this has not made it very easy for us. We are buying 500€ worth of hay per month, our funds are running out, and our tractor is on its last legs. We must raise money urgently.
Can you help
Our lovely house is available for longer stays. During the summer months, the minimum stay is 2 weeks. If you are looking for somewhere to live in lower Normandy. our house is in the perfect location to go house hunting.

The Epona Trust was founded by Ann Heighington in 1997.
A UK registered charity since 1997, and a French association since 2007, the Epona shelter takes in old or sick horses, ponies and donkeys, or quite simply those who no longer have a roof over their heads.The shelter has no financial income and operates thanks to donations from the public and the help of a few volunteers.
Association caritative enregistrée au Royaume-Uni depuis 1997 et association française depuis 2007, le refuge d'Épona accueille des chevaux, poneys et ânes âgés ou malades, ou tout simplement ceux qui n'ont plus de toit.
Le refuge ne perçoit aucun revenu et fonctionne grâce aux dons du public et à l'aide de quelques bénévoles.

We have OVER 30 horses and ponies at Epona that need daily care. Most of the animals are old or damaged and cannot be fostered out are Do you have some spare time to give? If so.

There's never a dull moment here among the ponies, horses, donkeys and mules. We have dogs, cats and chickens, A real animal lover's haven, nestled in the beautiful countryside, within 15 minutes of the coast.
On ne s'ennuie jamais ici, parmi les poneys, les chevaux, les chiens, les chats, les poules ! Un véritable havre de paix pour les amoureux des animaux, niché dans une magnifique campagne, à 15 minutes de la côte.
